Football World Cup Trophy in Marist College Mindelheim
When the German football team won the World Cup in 2014, the German Football Association decided to make the trophy available for a tour around the country. The Mindelkicker (a member of Vimeo) and Marist College with the use of a video and joining in various sporting events with asylum seekers applied for the trophy to be brought to Mindelheim for a day. Several hundred clubs and schools applied. Only 63 places were successful, including Mindelheim. Read more »

Valladolid 2015: Meeting of retired Brothers
After the meeting of younger Brothers of the Province at Moyle Park (Dublin), at the end of March, the C.E.M had organised, from 6th to 12th April, a meeting for Brothers aged over 70 at Valladolid.

“Embracing our Reality”
Some 20 Brothers took up the invitation of Brother Brendan to attend a workshop in the newly-renovated house of Moyle Park, Dublin on the weekend of 28th – 29th March. The subject: “Embracing our Reality” – a topic which is becoming increasingly important for us.

Marist gathering: “Called to bear fruit”
We came together on Saturday 21st March in the parish of “Notre-Dame Immaculée” in Brussels. There were 32 of us present at this day which was organised by the “Communion Brothers – Lay People” commission on the theme “Called to bear fruit” – Brothers, lay people from the Marist groups and fraternities of Belgium, as well as some new faces from the parish. Teachers pilgrimage to the Hermitage
It was a pleasure to be part of a pilgrimage with teachers from different parts of the Province from the 13th to the 16th March. There were eight teachers from Germany, eight from Ireland, two from Dundee in Scotland and myself and Brother John Hyland. Read more »

Meeting of Marists at Marist College Mindelheim
The weeks before Easter offer a variety of ways to prepare for this season. Each years the pupils at the school are invited to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Several priests are around the whole school for two days ready for them to receive the Sacrament. Weekly each Friday it has been customary for many years to offer the opportunity for Mass in the college chapel before classes begin and this has been taken up. Read more »

Dessau farewell
On Sunday, 22nd February the Parish of St. Peter and Paul`s in Dessau gathered for a farewell mass for the Brothers. Bishop Gerhard Feige presided at the mass, and Propst Nachtwei, the parish priest, concelebrated along with Father Heinrich Haskamp of the Marist Fathers` community, which has been in Dessau since 1992. Father Georg Galke S.M. was also present. Read more »
