Letter of the Superior General
“Fourvière: The Revolution of Tenderness”
Superior General Brother Emili Turú has published a letter addressing the Marists of Champagnat on the occasion of the Fourvière Year, which will conclude on July 23 with the celebration marking 200 years since the first Marists made their promise.
The letter “is an attempt to continue this commitment to renew the Church. On this occasion, we seek to reclaim, from a community perspective, the active participation of all baptised persons.”
The letter can be downloaded here, and via the following link: http://www.champagnat.org/400.php?a=6&n=3992. Printed copies in all four languages of the Province will be distributed as soon as possible.
When announcing the three years of preparation of the celebration of the Marist bicentenary in the 2014 letter entitled “Just a Tent as the Heart of our Future”, Brother Emili announced that he would write a letter for each of those years.
The current letter follows last year’s, which was entitled “The Dance of Mission” and reflected on the Marist mission, the theme of the Montagne Year.
